BRIGHT LIGHT OF FREEDOM

THE PRICE OF LIBERTY
Who can afford to pay it

Liberty must be chosen and adhered to, but before one can choose freedom one must be prepared to also pay the necessary price that comes with the package. Of this package we shall now speak.

What’s in the package?

[Leviticus 25:10 KJV] And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Just as Pentecost is the fiftieth day after Passover so is the year of Jubilee after 49 years (7 X 7). Each seventh year is the year of peace, release and forgiveness of debts. God watches peace and freedom. His perfect love does not allow oppression of any sort. His perfect joy is not contaminated by bouts of sadness; hence it is eternally perfect. His perfect (heavenly) peace is, and cannot ever be disturbed by the tiniest elements of war or unrest; otherwise it would not be perfect. Tokens of these perfections come to us in sevenths. Sabbath is the interval of love, joy, peace and freedom. In each token we find immense riches. The deeper we go the more treasures we find.

The word LIBERTY in the above verse in Hebrew is dror (דרור), which is an unused root of something that moves freely and rapidly; hence, spontaneity and outflow of something clear and pure. Liberty, has no constrains or restrictions and it involves no fear; hence in its character dwells the perfect love that casts out any fear of punishment. In liberty one’s love becomes real for one does not need to be wary of anyone’s attitudes, judgments or condemnations through speculations; self-serving and often filled with jealousy opinions. One is free from the desire to blend with others and to fit in. One is free of the fear of law. Ghost stories and scary fairytales lost any impressionable sway. When joy is not complete that means that there is a contaminant in it that tries to prevent its fullness, usually fear of the unknown is the culprit. The more one knows—provided it is the liberating and the joy producing knowledge—the fuller becomes your joy.

In that freedom one is at rest and in complete peace (perfect peace that surpasses all understanding); worries for tomorrow and insecurities are null. Through media the commercial world forces upon us insecurities in order to cash in on them. It is like a mafia, which extorts protection payments from a business owner. First they threaten you and then promise to protect your from that which they have threatened you with. God is not that way, but if you read the Scripture that way than you do not read it in the freedom of the Holy Spirit, but quite so in a theological bondage. Someone laid down the grid for you and made you stick to what they have outlined for you. That’s brainwashing for in it there is no freedom.

(Lev. 25) verse 12, For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat its crops out of the field. Freedom is holy to the LORD. Never forget that. Verse 17 says, So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God. Wow! Do you know God’s heart?

Oppression is wrong. God is extremely rich so there is no need to deprive anyone one of anything and to covet what someone else has for that is evil of oppression. Even jealousy, competitions, envies and strife are evil in the sight of the LORD. An evil eye is something between the East German-built Trabant and the newest model of Mercedes Benz. Should you be envious because you can’t lift your own eyes to heaven and trust God for the best? There are no limits and constraints in God’s heart. He seeks the best for you in every department of your life. He is endless. So are you.

[1Corinthians 8:9] But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.

Apostle Paul used this expression for those who were bound to observances of special days and to consumption of foods while others were free. This taking of care means to educate people in freedom for many were coming out from the Pharisaic religious bondage while others were coming out from pagan religious bondage. Which bondage was “better” is hard to say. The heavy yoke of any religion—be it pagan Jewish, Christian or Muslim—contain no love, joy or peace; for these even can’t contain them. One must be truly free to enjoy God’s perfect love, joy and peace.

When Jesus entered the Synagogue of Nazareth on the Sabbath day He knew which passage of scripture will be recited on that day, which was Isaiah 61:1-2. But according to our numbers He cut verse two in half, which reads, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.

[Luke 4:18-20]  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” And He closed the book.

It was not the time to proclaim vengeance but liberty. The time of liberty is now, which is the abundant space of God’s grace.

Jesus was in trouble with the Pharisees who themselves were bound up and produced the same for others. I am in trouble with some religionists because what they have worked so hard to create, in their view, I tear down. It took me a very long time to recognize it. The freedom of God’s Spirit within me acts subconsciously and I can’t change that. I am His liberator. Period.

Conservative republicans have accused me of being a liberal democrat a label used quite frequently. I am no liberal, but a liberated human being; and no matter how hard you would try to place your bound-up finger on me you can’t put me in any box. I do not belong to a group; I belong to God. I am free.

To what kind of a god do I belong? – A god to whom I must bow and burn incense, pray three or five times a day? Am I a worshiper of prayer or of Him? Am I a worshiper of my own rituals and religious observance as prescribed by some fathers of faith or religious movement, or I am a worshiper of the invisible God?

[Matthew 6:1-8] Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

There is even reward when one stops this religious nonsense. The old things passed away and fell off me like those rocket booster that exhausted its fuel and stopped propelling the space shuttle. The same is with all ritual religions, they spent their fuel and like empty drums must fall into the depths of the sea. They fulfilled its mission in the past. A new day is dawning. The past is dead and therefore unclean, so stop worshiping it. It is the present that is not only clean, but also can be holy; for today God’s Word is like freshly baked bread. Today is the day of salvation the day of liberation from all bondage.

THE TRUE CHARACTER OF GOD
Knowledge liberates

[Psalms 46:7-10] Who executes justice for the oppressed;
    Who gives food to the hungry.
    The LORD sets the prisoners free.
8. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
     The LORD raises up those who are bowed down;
     The LORD loves the righteous;
9. The LORD protects the strangers;
     He supports the fatherless and the widow,
     But He thwarts the way of the wicked.
10. The LORD will reign forever,
      Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
      Praise the LORD!

I want this kind of a God don’t you? Don’t be an oppressor, be God’s liberator.

Amen.

  1. Unknown says:

    Words of perfect freedom - Halleluja!
    " ...This taking of care means to educate people in freedom ..." - I never read this verse in this sense - I always thought this "taking care" means I should take me back in my behavior ( be not objectionably). Now I am understanding - right education is taking care - logical!
    Oh I wish to learn more and more what it really means: to be a worshiper in the truth and in the spirit of the invisible God!
    Thanks for liberation!
    Shalom

  2. [Quote]"It is like a mafia, which extorts protection payments from a business owner. First they threaten you and then promise to protect your from that which they have threatened you with. God is not that way."[End of quote]

    God never said that, "If you don't love Me you will be lost forever or burn in hell. If you do not follow me I will cut you off, torment you and severely punish you." If anyone reads the Bible this way one reads man's additions and imaginations about God. That's why I say that I know God and I know His heart; others claim to know but only the Holy Writ (dogmatically and religiously) and that's the difference. In another time, based on my knowledge of God I would be labeled a heretic, which would be based on some founders of religious movements' set of beliefs. During the Spanish Inquisition, even after reformation of Luther, Calvin or Zwingli I would be burned at stake or be beheaded … All in the name of the loving God …

    If anything, God would rather give you over to your (imaginary) own; to your own wants and desires. He gives one over to his or her own flesh; over to the illusion of being self-sufficient and self-sustainable. Self-importance and pride of this present life is an illusion to which the Creator can give one over (Romans 1:24; 26; 28).

    God dramatically changed my thinking (after deep repentance that included sorrowful repentance for the sins of my forefathers, Nehemiah 9:2) by giving me the knowledge of His heart. Ever since my heart incessantly leaps for joy.

    The new thinking is self-nullified and God the Father comes to a much clearer view as if out of the shadows into a much clearer and brighter light.

    1. God does not threaten anyone. If He ever did then He would cease to be God and become a man.
    2. God personally does not punish anyone (although one can read it that way), but His laws are so set up that whatever man sows he must reap, every action calls for a reaction. When one sows wrath; one reaps the same, but not from God but from the reactive laws He set into motion.
    3. God is free and He desires for us to be free. Heaven liberates and the earth binds. An overcomer with his or her new thinking embraces heaven and determinedly walks according to its laws.

    From these three points comes love, joy and peace. We are on the way my dear friends. We have not yet attained, but we are on the way. The attainment journey itself is our joy for nothing stops or remains still in God. Everything moves.

    So, do not be sad that you do not have yet this mentality. Rejoice in the fact that this knowledge comes your way and that you have been chosen. Rejoice that you are walking on the Highway of Holiness. Remember that God raises your spiritual IQ no where else but on that highway.

    "[Isaiah 35:8] A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it."

  3. One more thought. In case it was not clear: Mary's genealogical line must have been pure (through Seth) to Adam; and so she was chosen to bring forth Jesus. All other candidates were not accepted. God knew Miriam's, Mary's Hebrew name) uncontaminated genealogical line because a lot of the biblical text is being dedicated to it.
